ANITA AKUA KYEREWAA KUMA.
Imagine waking up in the morning, going to work and doing what you love to do? Well.... I don't get to imagine it because that's what I do every morning. When ever I sit behind the console, I feel like I was born to do this. It makes me really happy to be given this opportunity.
Growing up, I thought I would be a secretary. I love the way they always present themselves. Then it came to being a lawyer, then a writer...... you know how it goes, when you're young, you want to be everything. Eventually, at the university, I was trained to be a building technologist. Surprise surprise!!! Before you draw any conclusions, I must say I had a great time learning building technology at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Not only was I tutored by the best lecturers, I also made some really great friends from all over the country.
So what happened? You might ask. I'm a Taurus so not only am I a creative person, I do love music. Give me a pumped up beat and you have me smiling deep inside. Whiles at KNUST, I always de-stressed by playing at the campus station FOCUS FM. Those were good times! I was "discovered" one day playing at focus by LUV FM and they asked me to play in the night because I was still in school. I started and I think I impressed them so they asked me to restart a program called the WEEKEND CITY SHOW. I really wasn't crazy about waking up early on Saturdays but I did enjoy the thought of missing out on the general cleaning at home (honest!). Oh... I also enjoyed the fun I had on air with the listeners.
Later I began work on the "metropolitan mix". At that time I was a national service person. After the national service, I was offered employment full time. At this point, I wasn't sure if I was doing a great job or my bosses were overwhelmed with my charming personality. If you ever meet my bosses you would probably want to ask them why!
The METROPOLITAN MIX is a great program. It's fun, it's funky and filled with lots of great talk. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, a friend of mine called Nancy stops by for talk about relationships and life styles. I must say she is really smart about those topics. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, we pump up the party with entertainment highlights. The next time you're in town, you should tune in between 10am and midday, you would enjoy the Metro mix greatly!
I also play the LUNCH TIME RHYTHMS right after the mid day news from JOY FM. It's soothing and really relaxing. It really goes down well with whatever you have for lunch.
After work, I love to walk and do aerobics to maintain my voluptuous body. I love to watch movies and be in the mist of great company. I'm not really crazy about rainy days and Mondays (rainy nights on my bed are exceptional.). I love my family. My Mum Victoria is a fighter and my brothers and sisters, not only are they my hardest critics but my best friends. I attended University Primary/ J S S and Wesley Girls High School; I would love to be in school soon to continue my education. An MBA in Human Resource Management would do great on my CV. Well before you ask.... I'm single!
For now, it's all about the metro mix and I hope when you tune in you're not disappointed. XO XO XO XO
