DA SOUL SISTER

Gloria Anthonia Mensah, known on the airwaves as DA SOULSISTER, is a hybrid of Fante and Ashanti and the third of seven children born to Rt. Rev. John Cudjoe Mensah and Madam Janet Adwoa Biama 0n 7th Otober,1979 in Kumasi.

Pursuing a desire to become a journalist, she enrolled into the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) in Accra from 1998-2000 where she earned a Diploma in Population Communication. Given this platform in the field, she moved around the Media spheres gathering lots of experience from GBC radio and GTV, Daily Graphic and Radio Gold all in Accra.

By this time her desire in radio had been puffed up, so she grasp the opportunity to do her National Service at the Regional Office of the Ghana Broadcasting Company in Kumasi (GCR) where she was doing the motivational Segment on the Morning Show.
This exposure catapulted her deeper in to the industry in the region and she moved to Spirit Fm 88.3fm where she was named Da SoulSister presenting the Midmorning and Lunch programmes called Positive Soul Food for about 3years and Heavenly Connection in the evening for about a year when she begun her pursuit for higher education at the Christian Service University College, a private University in the Ashanti Region where she graduated with a first class division in Banking and Finance. Even in school, she was still handling the midmorning show(CRUSE DRIFT) at Light Fm 94.9fm a new one to hit the region in 2006 till June 2008 when she applied to be a Presenter with the Multi-Media Group station in Kumasi LUV 99.5FM

With one of the finest voice on radio, Gloria keeps the atmosphere romantic on the LUV SLOW JAM every Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays between 10pm and 12 midnight and the WEEKEND CITY SHOW AND EASY LIKE SUNDAY MORNING between 7am-9am and 7:30am and 9:30am respectively.
